Investing in technology and innovation is a strategy that goes beyond the company's limits to reach society, especially young Brazilian talent. This is the thought of Hipper Freios when supporting the Robotron team at Robocup, a world robotics competition held in Bangkok, capital city of Thailand, from July 11th to 17th. The team has representatives from two cities in the south of Santa Catarina, Jaguaruna and Sangão, where the Hipper Freios factory is located.
As the Winner of the 2021 edition of the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad (OBR) – and as the first team from Santa Catarina to conquer this national award – Robotron qualified to compete in the Robocup Junior Rescue Line category. The team is composed by three technicians in mechatronics trained by the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC), from Criciúma campus: Kauan Biring Fontanela and Lucas Adriano dos Anjos, from Sangão; Kamylo Serafim Porto, from Jaguaruna. Professor-tutor Paulo Sérgio Gai Montedo, master in Physics Teaching, also participated. In its short history, they have already conquered many victories, such as three state awards (2019, 2020 and 2021), in addition to the national one in 2021, which guaranteed the spot in this year's international competition.
Both Robocup and OBR are ways of encouraging young people to mature in the production of practical knowledge in the research and development of robotics and artificial intelligence technology. “Hipper Freios has technology and innovation as its products’ highlights and as one of the main reasons for being the national leader in the automotive parts segment. Therefore, we know very well the value of the commitment of our young people. We are very proud of everyone, who, this way, carries the name of our region and our State to the world. They are examples and also symbols of the future for companies and hope for the country's development”, said Lucas Fenilli, quality engineer at Hipper Freios.
